They have even redone the inflight surveys thinking only long time employees are disgruntled. Company surveys have reflected how unhappy pilots & flight attendants are with our current situation. How can management expect us to be satisfied with our employer when they won’t do the right thing for their inflight employees. The job has gotten 10X harder and more responsibilities are added frequently. So, all FA who have loyally worked for over 15 years don’t even get a cost of living raise. You get no pay added after a contract expires. The FA top pay level is achieved at 15 years. We are coming up on 5 years of “negotiation” yet again. Had to settle for a 2 year extension in 2016 of our 2009 contract. Flight attendants havent had a new contract in almost 9 years. So, whatever you make “per hour” or “flight time” you can almost cut it in half. Getting home later than your scheduled time. there are all kinds of things that can cause you to sit n the airport and wait for your flight. Delays for weather or any other waiting…. Time spent changing from one plane to another or scheduled ground time between flights, like 1 hour, 2 hour or even 3. Then at arrival, deplaning passengers, cleaning the airplane, seats & floors etc. NO PAY FOR ANY OF THE OTHER WORK or TIME SPENT ON DUTY The required time for reporting early for your flight, checking equipment on board, boarding all the passengers on the plane, checking bags, reseating people. From the airplane door closing & pushing back to the door open at arrival.
